BOMBAY BISTRO

Chef K.N. Vinod and his partner, Surfy Rahman, shared a vision: to redefine fine Indian dining by pairing authentic cuisine with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. This dream came to fruition in 1991 with the launch of Bombay Bistro. From its inception, the restaurant distinguished itself with a pioneering open-kitchen concept and a menu that masterfully harmonizes the diverse regional flavors of Northern and Southern India. The experience is complemented by an inviting, ethnic-inspired decor featuring rich, warm tones and carefully curated Indian artifacts.

 INDIQUE & INDIQUE HEIGHTS

After many wonderful years at the helm of Indique, Indique Heights, and Bombay Bistro, I have officially passed the torch to new ownership. I am immensely proud of the legacy we built together—from our inclusion in the Michelin Guide to being recognized by RAVE SQ magazine as one of the top 10 Indian restaurants in the world. Furthermore, Indique was a long-standing fixture on Washingtonian Magazine’s "100 Very Best Restaurants" list for the majority of its operation.

This transition now grants me the freedom to travel, create content, and offer my 30+ years of industry experience as a consultant to others in the field. I look forward to this next chapter of sharing my passion for food through new lenses.
